It's haaaaaaappening!

Over on the Pulse Construction blog, GRTC announced that they will begin "construction activities" for the actual BRT stations as early as October 4th! Yessssss!

They're starting with the Allison Street station and will be doing some sidewalk work in preparation for the westbound platform. Did you hear that? A platform! For platform-level boarding! A real thing that our BRT system will have!

Additionally, the big-time utility work going on all up and down Broad is scheduled to finish up mid-October. Once that's done, we'll start to see even more station-related work scattered about.

In a year from now, the Pulse will open and we'll have the initial piece of Richmond's regional transit system—but first sidewalks, curbs, and stations must be built! Onward!
